my keens are trashed and covered with mud from thursday after the storm, but they are still the best trail runners I have. I learned today that Dubuque averages 12 inches of rain per summer, and the most recorded (I think in IL) was 15 inches, in that one storm in less than 12 hours. Crazy. The trails today were still muddy and I stepped in mud up to my ankle again today. (Ankle deep mud is about as bad as it gets anywhere that people regularly run.
