biking from Echo lake up the Mt. Evans road so from about 10,500 ft to just over 14,000 feet. the 14.5 miles up in 1:44:45 with one of the miles near the end at around 9:00 thanks to very visible mile markers. Then down in 37:20 but it could have been faster I went slow the first few miles because there were two vehicles behind a bicycler and I behind them. I passed 3 bikers on the way up and then a few bikers and two cars on the way down. It's odd to pass a car in a 30 mph speed zone going down hill. I suspect I was going over 50 at points at least well into the 40s because I had my bike in top gear and could not pedal fast enough to accelerate. I've never had that experience before.
