Notes

Actually my NB#3 is a sauconcy velocity distance spike. So, it was really nice to have Berea cheering for me that really pumped me up. Before the race I was thinking I'm going to try for 75s and or the lead and win. So Forest and McCann went out in 75 and I was like in 5th or something and then Chris and Pete slowed down so I moved up. Forrest was moving away then he decided he didn't want to lead and moved out to lane two and hit the brakes so I moved up on the inside and too the lead for 2 laps or so. I think I was leading through the mile and we came through in 5:06 and I thought I was working harder than that. Then the first unattached guy passed me and worcester state moved past about 6 or 7 laps in Duffty went past me but we were still fairly in a group. Two miles in 10:23 and I was like "wow, we slowed down more". Then I fell off the back of the group with three laps to go and the wind battered me like a rag doll. my last mile was like 5:35 or something I was dying hard.On the last 100 Paul moved into lane two to let me pass and the sisu guy came up between us and I stumbled onto the infield for a step or two and then jumped on the track and tried to finish. Completely exhausted. Three consecutive 80 mile weeks though! Workouts have been going well. I consider this a sign that I need to ease off now. I'm moving to low 70s or so for the next 2 weeks maybe then 60s for 2-3 weeks and 50s for the last two weeks provided I get ECAC and NE qualifying times. I also think taking the lead wore on me a little. And the 12 and 10 miles the past two days and relative fast pace yesterday. Thank God though that I didn't get any more injured and Euge Pr'd big and Kevin too and really there were a lot of good races.
