I've had better runs. That's an understatement. First two miles were muddy and slick, and I still did them in 13:50, great. (recipe for later trouble) First eight miles went really well, then I felt that I was struggling. Checked the watch at nine miles, saw I was at like 7:01 pace, uphill into a slight wind, so coming back should be faster... Clicked the watch at 12 miles, saw I had slowed to 8 minute pace, kind of quit caring about the pace. I didn't have any injuries and I did have food and drink, so I just turned around and finished. Pretty ugly going on the way back, tired, like I about ran a marathon. Still, happy to be healthy and running a lot.
