So 445.2 meters, according to the USATF. I will assume as many thousands of miles are logged there every year, they are pretty accurate. At the start there was a long track speed skating event going on. That cleared up. They were skating 3ks for the record in 5-6 minutes. Pretty happy with this run! I was aiming to run 1:38s, which the board said was 5:50 pace, then 1:32 which the board said was 5:29. That might be figured on the track being 450 meters, the Petit advertises the track as 443 meters, and the USATF measured it at 445.2. Anyway, really happy with a run this fast this long. I was holding up really well until the last few intervals, then it got really hard. Less than the 21k I did in September last year before Chicago, but considering my background the last few months, I'm really happy with it. Plus, I think I am learning that sometimes you only need to go 95% instead of that last 5 or 10%. I ran 89% of a HM, and I felt like I could do a few more, but I already had trouble sleeping and was tired the next day, so I know I pushed myself hard enough. I know, the first ten miles, the first half will fee very easy in three weeks.
