pretty pleased with this workout. went out too hard on the first one and jogged the last 200 in. probably easiest 67 I've ever ran in practice, the next 400 was pretty easy too then I started to try harder on the second 200s of the 400s. by the time I got to the 200s I was pretty tired and was working hard to get those 33s. there were a few spots with ice where my worn down flats slipped on the last curve but it would have only been a fraction of a second faster. it's amazing how easy this workout was overall. i mean it was not a cake walk because obviously i didn't hit the times I wanted on the 200s but I felt quite recovered between intervals. mileage is good! So yes I do think I am in shape to PR at the shorter distances. I want to get in a tempo and strides or short hills before this weekend. race plan in both races: try to win (in general by running a smart race: sit near the front and kick, or do whatever it is I call a kick.

I'm hoping 71s and 72s feel even easier than this in March.
