Notes
Marshall wanted to do a 20 miler, so I told him I would go part way with him. I felt good walking around and sitting, but 10 steps into the run my legs said, "you're an idiot, stop running" regardless after a mile and after two I felt better and better, we were flying through 5 miles, then my legs got heavy again and we slowed down. That's life, and that's recovery. I toyed with the idea of doing more, but I also had the thought of doing less, 12 ended up a good compromise. It rained on us like miles 5-9 fairly hard and my long sleeve shirt and hat and compression socks just weren't enough, I was okay, not cold, but more stiff and heavy and didn't feel good.
