I just bought a third pair of Inov8 Roclite 243s, to go with this one and the other pair I have in a box. What a run eh? Just wanted to do 22 at sub 7 pace, well first mile not so fast, like 7:03, then the average crept down to 6:51-52 on the way out, and when I turned around, one mile or two miles at a time the average pace came down one second per mile. It was not fast. At 19 miles it ticked over to 6:45 and I laughed out loud. Was not expecting that. I spent a lot of the run just trying to relax and keep it easy. I want to have a big mileage week, a strong workout Wednesday, and then a nice hard long run Saturday. I just felt good. Post workout pace syndrome (PWPS) due to the race Friday. I'm thinking maybe I'm ready to really hammer a long run, sub 6:15 kind of pace.
