Yeah I couldn't call it 7.6 today I wasn't clicking off 6:45s, was I? Pretty awesome Boston Marathon today. Started off with giving Matt Hegarty a ride to Framingham he's pretty cool, young though. Then we haphazardly set stuff up, and didn't get jackets because the lady forgot to take them off the truck. We set the bottles up and the one on F35 (Stephanie Hood eventual 10th place) said "Today is a blessing". I think it said something else but that stuck in my head and that is such a great attitude! I mean it's gonna be painful but taking the attidtude that it is a good day just to be there is setting yourself up for a positive race and positive post race mentality. I ended up holding the sign for Elite Odd and Robert Cheryoit, Nick Archinaga, and Michael Wardian came past and I cheered for the latter two. I was amazed at how packed it was. There was a crowd 2-3 people deep for most of the half mile of road I could see. I didn't expect crowds like that at 5k. Pretty cool though. I got back to my apt at about 11:15 to watch the end of both races. Dissapointing coverage of the top American men. Dan Vassallo from Colby ran like 2:24 pretty sweet for second marathon and only 22 years old or something. On a side note I thought about the marathons and Ryan Hall again on my run today. Possible correlation: Thinking about Ryan Hall = Running faster?
