Ok so each loop is 7.3 miles I took a wrong turn and backtracked the first loop and added .4-.5 miles on thus the not just 7.3 times 2. Why was this a great run? Jenny Barringer!! I started off about a minute behind two guys with a fuel belt and when I caught them I asked directions and one went to Middlebury so he knew WPI. He looked like uppers 20s for age. First saw her around mile 1.5 then around 6 and after that I got to thinking hey this girl kind of looks like Jenny BArringer so when I sat her the third time around mile 10 I said "Are you Jenny Barringer?" She said "Yeah!" With this Huge smile on her face man it was infectious. She has a great smile. Then I said "Keep up the great work and Congrats!" She said "Thanks!" and we were on our way. About a half mile later she came around the little pond and yelled "One left" I think motivating herself to get in the extra mile. And she ran along the trail and I along the road so for like a minute we were 30-40 feet apart running the same direction and she was cranking it! I mean sub 7 the first two times I saw her she was doing slower than I. First lap including wrong direction 57, second lap 52:30. Compared to my encounter with Ryan Hall... he just doesn't smile like she does. You can tell by her stride too that she's above average out there around the res.
