Total quality of 2.13 miles in 10:26 for 4:54 pace average for the hard running! That's great! I did not feel great warming up. Had a night sweat Monday after the 12 miler with the UWP guys. Took Tuesday off. Was only planning a 3 mi warmup but extended it to five to do all the quality going downhill. First interval at like 5:30 pace, didn't feel great. I thought maybe I will just do a few hard intervals. Second interval, huge like 4:38 pace! Okay, that's nice! The next few I just kept doing 4:50ish pace well so I kept it going. Just wanted to keep it sub 5 pace, but a couple were faster. The last one I just wanted to blow it apart and spin my legs as fast as I could. It was great. Checked my watch at 27s, 35s and was tired, then again at 46s and thought, 'only 16s, 100 meters to go, hammer!' and I tried to get that average down faster, but could not go any faster than the 4:35-40 that I was doing. Happy to hit that pace, and excited to think in two weeks maybe I could hit 4:20s on the end of this workout. Saw Aaron and Brandon out on the trails doing 3x2 mile too, they don't like 2 mile repeats now either. Ha, no one does. Except for downhill ones on Grandview, those are fun.
