GU test #3: This time I took it earlier at about 46 minutes. I wanted to see the run time before I "hit the wall." Well I felt good the entire way in especially about a half hour after I took it. I ate about an hour fifteen before I ran so I think that slowed absorbtion of it down a little so I feel it for 30 minutes. I also never hit the wall and I think that is probably due to my weight. I weight less and thus consume less energy per mile so the 100 calorie packs maybe help me for 60 minutes instead of the stated 45 minutes. I also kept it in my inside pocket instead of out side pocket and it was much easier to eat. I probably downed it in 90 seconds or less. It also takes about 2 oz. water to wash it all down. High point of the run: seeing the same Holden cop car five time and finally waving to each other the last time. Low point: having a car on the other side of the road coming at me hit the median with its tire and completely cover me in slush so that my last hour was cold and wet. That was depressing. Also the snow slowed me down but I need that sometimes.
