Really good long run with Keith - the whole run was on roads which will help me get used to harder surfaces for the marathon. I felt very smooth right from the start and all the way until about 1hr 40mins. Keith was under a bit of pressure due to gel problem and having been on the beer on Wed. I was picking up the pace easily and felt on my toes most of the way. From about 1hr 40mins I started to struggle a bit. The last 15 mins was tough on the legs but it was a lot better than my long run last week. Great run overall and looking forward to see how I get on with 2hr 10 mins next week. Achilles a bit stiff at the start but after a few mins I was running freely - delighted with the run overall despite a tough last 15 mins. Perfect day for a run - bit of a wind against us early but with us on the way home. Cool enough morning for a run as well
