took bash's advice as I left t2: "go out easy, run hard!" thanks, bro :) i would have been happy with anything under 6:30 pace. steamtown marathon pace would have been even better. exceeded expectations and ran 6:10 pace with last mile under 6 mins. outkicked age group runner with a quarter mile to go. took his podium spot. hell's yeah. 38th overall, 3rd in AG, 4th fastest run time on the day. Amazing performance by all including trifury and bui-yah crew. great to see bashley out there + ruben sanca (name dropping), why-vette, and johan cheering me on. so, i heard that there are still some spots remaining for montreal iron distance race in 2 weeks....should be enough time to taper, right?
