hard work. for the first mile the legs felt pretty heavy coming off the bike. then loosened up. was surprised at the pace when i looked at my watch at the turnaround (out in 41:03) was able to maintain that on the return (41:11) even though for the last 3 miles I wanted to pack it in.
Huge confidence booster. If I can do this workout on dead legs (2 days after a race without a day off) i should be good with a taper for the half iron in two weeks.
Take it easy for the rest of this week to prep for the Buffalo 1/2 marathon Sunday.
Then an easy week next week to get ready for the Half Iron.
