First Merriam's run of the year...sad (but the gym is more important right now). It was an iconic run--wild turkeys strutting bout two lanes of traffic as I ran up the hill just outside the Vandenberg gate, a beautiful mist over the first bridge-- surrounded by cattails and purple flowers, and while Tommy's cows weren't out, the bright orange sun to my right was so beautiful it made me wonder was it truly that beautiful or a Hollywood picture doctored to make me love it (It was real...and beautiful). The only downside was I ran it alone...and that's fine. But it did make me think of the many runs I've done with Ben, Jimmy, Scott, Jackie and of course Tommy and many other. Thank you all for everything!
