Did not expect that. I wanted to be around 8:34 for this morning's run since Theresa bailed, and do the 5 mile loop in progression. Started off great, a few seconds a mile fast on each mile except mile 3. Suprisingly had a tough time staying between 8:00-8:15 on the 5th mile, but I was feeling pretty good. And after I got lost (again) on the Gold River trails I had a reason to keep it going since I accidentally added a mile to morning run. So the last mile I decided to do 7:45-8:00, but again, feeling good. So I figured I might as well do strides for the last stretch home that turned out to be a continuous half sprint. Felt great. Knee warmed up, the ankle and arches felt ok during the run. I'm slowly starting to feel like my old self. Maybe I can start doing speedwork next month. Maybe...
