A nice early morning run with strides at the end that coach suggested I do since he won't let me train yet, and the 4 that I did up the hill were harder than I thought! Also, I didn't look at my pace ONCE the whole run, including the last half mile of strides, just tried to run easy, even slowing down at parts to make sure. I expected 8:20-8:35... I guess not. Of course, this course was flatter than yesterday and I did an 8:13 pace with big hills. NOW I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN tomorrow to make up for today. THe hill strides at the end of my street were fun though, and my legs, including hamstrings felt STRONG! I'm glad I stopped at 4 and didn't try to overdo it. The intervals were 11-15 seconds up the hill, then I took a longer jog around and back down. Shoes were great, I had to tie my shoe during the first mile though... and it still was an 808. I promise Coach, this was an EASY run.....
