Spring Lake 5 mile ... 7:33 mile 1; 7:30 mile 2; 7:05 mile 3 ... finished the last half mile well ... cramped up during mile 4 ... probably need to eat something before a race at this time. Live and learn. 8 minutes better than last year. [NOTE -- they don't chip the race and the unofficial results are off by more than a minute. I timed it on my watch and it took me 7 seconds to cross the start line ... so technically my time was actually slightly faster. [Hey -- 7 seconds is 7 seconds.]
