The past 7 days have been hard. On Sunday I ran New Bedford in 1:28--not my best time by a long shot but still a hard workout in the middle of an 18 mile day. Two days later I ran 7 miles uphill on the treadmill for a 3200 elevation gain. Two days later I ran 10 x 400 on the track averaging just under 80 seconds each. Two days after that I ran today's 22 miler from Hopkinton to the to Heartbreak. The legs were heavy from the get go but the pace was strong and steady, even through the Newton Hills. It snowed the whole way on this second day of spring but I wore shorts anyway. GLRR support was awesome as usual. In the 4-5 years I've run with the club nothing has been less than stellar. So, a 74 mile Sunday to Saturday week with 4 hard workouts. If it doesn't break me it will only make me stronger.
