Notes

Wanted to run each mile faster but couldn't hold it for the last one and just didn't have it. The humidity and sun made it feel like 90 at that point and I'm leaning I kinda suck in the heat compared to the cold. I took water twice. Nevertheless it was a good enough run for 2nd, finishing over 2 minutes behind the winner and over a half minute in front of third. Therefore, I ran the whole race alone and this is my fastest solo time trial. That can't be bad. At the beginning of the summer I hoped to find my way to sub 18 shape but just didn't put in the work, get the right course, and weather. Knowing that I'm pretty happy with the result as it's much better than I ran July 4th. Despite missing sub 18 by 40 seconds I don't think I'm that far from making it happen.

Most of all it was a race organized by a friend for the cause closest to both of us and I'm proud to have been a part of the race.

X, 13 secs a mile is easily within what the weather alone took away yesterday. Absolute soup. I agree you are closer than 1840 suggests.
