The thing that bothered me most about my broken or badly sprained toe is how it feels pressed against the toe box. This was really uncomfortable on my test run earlier this week and had me stop at a mile. Healing has been very slow over the last 4 days but it only hurts when I bang on it.

Today it just struck me... just cut a damn hole in my shoe and let the damn toe hang out. BRILLIANT! Such a simple solution to a pesky problem. I'm running again.
