Notes
Finally I've squeezed in a half pushing the boy. Couldn't decide to run 7:30s and take it from there or run 6:50s and either hang on or adjust. I tried the latter considering that I knew I'd be able to adjust. Adjust I did after 2-3 miles. The small hills got to us and I had a couple slow miles due to them. Throughout the entire run I was constantly amazed at the lack of water for runners. With the heat you'd think they would have adjusted and brought in more water and stations. I don't know how I would have managed without the 20oz insulated bike water bottle attached to the stroller. It was the hottest half I've run. Hotter than Disney.
After 10 miles I realized I was home free and increased the effort to slowly reel folks in. This took it's toll by the finish and it took a couple minutes to catch my breath. I kept saying "shit" and the boy kept yelling at me for that.
All in all a good run despite the conditions.
