Notes
First 10K since June 1991. I was worried I'd either try to run it at 5K or half marathon pace. Fortunately I was able to find my expected 10K pace. I started conservatively but near expected pace then picked it up on the second half. It didn't feel like I did but, based on my splits, I did just what I wanted to do. Didn't feel 100% but met my goals. Have fun, negative 5k splits, run under 42 minutes, and finish in top 100. I gave up a few seconds seeding myself too deep at the start and twice running over and cheering for my cheering squad at miles 2 and 6. The course was challenging. Often it was up or down with many turns...not much opportunity for boredom.
