Notes
Paced what looks to be a great candidate to the No. 5 for the first 5k. Her name is Malika and she is a solid 400 meter runner in track. She had been struggling with the distance the first few weeks. But she was very promising today. Completed a 5k training run in under 28 and had a strong kick to the finish.
I told the two strongest runners to go three laps. Was annoyed to see them resting after doing only two. So took them on a third lap and paced them. They had less than three minutes of rest and water. I had about a minute of recovery to tell them that I expect them to complete three laps without stopping. Overall was happy with their pace.
