Notes

I Started off feeling terrible. I had sore legs from yesterday and for some reason my left glute hurt. I really felt more like a nap than a run. I was just sore. I set out just trying to complete the distance. But then two miles in all my aches and pains went away. So in mile three I started to push the pace. Mentally I felt I might be being a little wrecklass. But my body wanted to go so I did. I didn't check the Garmin during the run. If I did I would have slowed down. Going by feel I thought I was going 8:30 pace for miles three, four, and five. So it is nice to see I was going a little faster. During mile five I caught a side stitch but it was only mildly painful. It was actually a good type of pain. In mile six the side stitch left so I decided to go. About halfway through my right hamstring got a little tight just for a second. I backed off just a little and the tightness went away. (think it was a cramp). In the last .35 of a mile I accelerated a little and sprinted the last 200 meters, Another quality run. Tomorrow is an off day. And I think most the rest of the week will be easy miles.

You probably already know what I'm going to say. Back to back quality days is a bit risky. I'm glad it went well and you were feeling it, but just be careful and definitely do some nice and easy runs the rest of the week. I do like to see a nice negative split run though. Ending with the fastest mile is good, but perhaps after that you can end with a bit of a cool down. That really helps with recovery.

No argument here. I didn't know how fast I was going for miles 4 and 5. The side stitch gave me a clue. I did know what I was doing for the last mile. Don't worry I will back off.
