Notes
15 minute warm up easy/slogging feeling on The Woods Road path.
At 8 a.m., Ran Kitty Hawk Woods 8K "fun run" with ~25 other runners -- great course that includes fun rooty, somewhat hilly trail and private road with a pretty covered bridge. It wasn't a race per se, there was a raffle instead. I came in 12th at 46:44. Running with others helped me move a little more on the road sections and the pace felt good.
Then ran the 8K course one more time, plus a little extra on the Woods Road path to finish with 2 hours of running.
It was hazy and ssomewhat moky from the wildfire, and very humid, but never hot. I had a headache later, probably from the smoke. That must be what it's like to run in L.A. or another place with poor air quality -- no thanks!
