Early start because of morning plans and to avoid summer heat for dogs. There is a fence between the UMN campus and the fairgrounds with few passages. Took us a while get through. There's a horse event at the fairgrounds, too, Always makes me wonder how I could score some manure for my garden and compost pile. Stopped at the tomato field. At least one row had a variety called Cherokee Purple. Saw Lisa and Lynn just coming back from the farmer's market as we neared home.
