Precor C962i

Notes

Mostly 12.2 km/h or slower. Some decline down to -3% at 13 km/h in the 6th km and some approximately balancing incline in the 7th km. Leg power seemed OK while running with some slight feeling of stiffness. The lateral part of the quad (a typically taxed area in me, but this time more the right than left for some reason) is tender if I push a lot of weight on it e.g. on standing abduction.

Race kit had a 2 week YMCA pass so got that set up and may suspend my city facility pass for that time. The facility is fairly decent with a large number of machines, better location and I was interested in having treadmills with decline. The C962i is an old model with decline to -3% (typically a max for other manufactures as well. More decline requires more power in the motor for safe operation I believe.)

The first two 962's I tried had an extremely loud screeching sound. The third I ran on for a km and I was thinking: Either this TM is slanted to the left or my body is really in a weird state. Moving to the fourth, it immediately felt much better left/right so I concluded the former. Not surprising this could happen with wood flooring. But you'd think they could adjust them properly. On the other hand, there are ""Techno Gym"" weight stations with electronic attachments which electronically change the weight stack, count your sets and reps, show a graphical picture of the movement, bug you about lifting too fast or with inappropriate range of motion. Maybe it makes sense but my initial impression is: you must be kidding.

Also had 2.6 km of walking. I guess I won't log walking unless couple days before/after races, intense or longer than 4km or so.
