felt really strong for much of the run today. incredibly light for the first 4-5 miles, like coming off a long rest. everything went much faster than planned, as I was thinking that this would be a progression run with the last few miles at MP.

I ended up progressing too quickly, and miles 3-7 were sub 7:30 pace. worked down to MP when I hit the park loop around mile 8, and kept it going for the last 12 miles! average pace for MP segment was 6:48, which is spot on for a sub 3 hour marathon.

I skipped my water stop past mile 13, just to test things and to avoid breaking pace. I started to run out of gas around mile 16, but was able to push through for 18 and 19. 19 was a hard, gradual up hill, with the last 300 or so up a decent grade, but hung on and closed on target. had to rest at a full stop for about 10 seconds at the end of 19, then pulled it together for a little cool down.

overall an amazing run, especially after hitting 70 miles for the 3rd straight week. body seems to be holding up okay, and if the taper works its magic, I think i'm on track for the sub-3.
