Notes

My goals for today were to actually wake up and brave the cold, last for at least 20 min, and hopefully get in 2 miles. Although it was the bare minimum, mission accomplished. I was wearing a heavy carhartt sweatshirt, and thick addidas pants, plus a knit scully for my noggin, so I almost view this as biking with resistance due to the weight. I came out a little quick due to the cold, and started running out of gas on the second mile a little. I have to find a way to be properly hydrated after instantly waking up from my slumber...I think that may be a factor...

Alright buddy! Way to brave the cold! I may be trying that out tomorrow morning. I'm a bit of a wuss with the cold and do a lot of treadmill running or I run at the warmest part of the day. I've been realizing recently that being hydrated is making a bug difference for me. It's actually more important that you are hydrated through out the day than right before you run, in the morning. I would make sure that the day before your run, you are drinking water all day. Clear pee! :)

Joe, way to get out there man. 2 miles in that cold is no joke! I'm with D on the hydration - I'm trying to get better too about drinking plenty of water (and not as much coffee) during the previous day. Keep it up my man!
