Weird morning. Smaller group than last week, but right as we were getting going I made eye contact with this red haired guy who looked pretty familiar. It was Conor Wells, who I ran against in high school pretty frequently and who ran for Drake. I reminded him that the first time I remembered meeting him was the night before Griak, where he donned a youth XL LeBron jersey. Apparently he's in Flag purely for running and he's been here since August. It will be good to have someone to run with who, albeit faster than me, isn't in a totally different league.
We ran pretty much the whole way together and on the way back we were joined by Nick Arciniaga. While I categorized this as an "easy" run, it certainly wasn't for me. On the way back I was not able to hold much of a conversation and could hear myself breathing heavily.
While eating bagels afterwards, Nick Willis popped his head in and made a joke I didn't understand before continuing his run. Supposedly Flagstaff is the fastest town in the world outside of some village in Kenya during April.
