Comment: "Jeez. Hard to believe I ran an average of 4:15/km when I felt totally spent and was practically crawling over the last few km. I really need to learn how to pace myself in these longer runs. Especially to pace myself to my current fitness level. Had I run 4:20 from the outset I still might have ended up tiring near the end and with an overall slower time, but it probably would have been more appropriate to my fitness level. Going out fast and hanging on is OK to a point, but not when it near destroys you as this did. I really have to see whether I can get a faster net time by starting slower and finishing hard, dare I say, negatively splitting. Foot had been very good for the past week, but ended up sore after this run. Bugger!"
