Ran 2015 York Turkey Trot 5k. This was seriously a last minute race decision. I wasn't totally sure I was going to run until about 2 hours before the race. Glad I did it. Ran well, considering it's been a rough year of aggravating injuries. First mile came through in a 5:52, 2 in 6:04, 3 in 5:55. Really wasn't feeling good after the first mile and I considered shutting it down, but only for a few seconds. Gutted out the next mile and took advantage of the last mile to gather myself and finish well. Last 3/4 mile is mostly downhill, so that really helped. Body OK other than right ankle being tight after the race. No issues with the weakness. Overall, a decent run. I did win my age group and was the top masters runner overall (over 40).
