Ran Liberty Day 10k in Hanover. First year running this one. Wanted to get a good 10k time in for a possible seeded spot at the Great Race. Think I accomplished this. Ran pretty well for the first 1/2 of the race. First 3 miles were 6:05, 6:00, 6:10. Then hit the more hilly part of the race and slowed down (next 3 were 6:24, 6:34, 6:24). My last 3 miles were much slower, but still steady. Was able to pick things up a little at the end. Was raining pretty much all morning, which cut down on the heat, but it was very humid. Lots of puddles in the streets and my shoes and socks got very wet. The result was a pretty bad blister on my left middle toe. Overall, I think I did OK considering my diet and training has been a little off and my motivation has been slightly low as well. Felt OK and had no real issues afterwards other than my toe. Finished pretty well, 4th out of about 158.
