Notes

8 mile progression run with 1 mile easy to finish

Goal- 7:30, 7:20. 7:10, 7:00. 6:50, 6:40, 6:30, 6:20

Actual- 7:24, 7:11, 7:03, 6:51, 6:40, 6:35, 6:17, 7:27, 7:21

This workout did not go as well as I had hoped. My legs are still adjusting to all of the miles I am running and they felt heavy. I also think I mentally psyched myself out. Miles 4-6 were particularly difficult. After the 7th mile, I felt like I couldn't do another one fast, so I finished with a two mile cool down.

Megan this still looks like a great workout. I also hope that no matter what, you're still enjoying your summer training! These runs should help make you excited for the season :)

Megan, I can't say it any better than Hanna did. Great workout, but as last week's newsletter stated, it's important to feel good after these workouts, not spent. You are doing great. Having the right mindset heading into these workouts can have a dramatic effect on how you perform. Next time maybe try going into it with the goal and mindset of not overdoing it and feeling good upon completion. Also make sure to adjust for heat and humidity! Keep up the great work!
