Notes

N then S, wind NE15. I felt pretty good until 3mi when I sprained my left ankle this time. I went over Cricket Hill then turned around and at the bottom on the way back stepped on a branch or rock or something. Felt and heard it pop and stopped. I figured I was back on a 3+ week period of recovery. It didn't feel as bad as last time, but surely was some damage. Started jogging slowly with plans to get home and ice, hopefully before too much swelling. Didn't hurt too bad, a bit stiff and felt like just a little swelling. Then after 0.5 or 0.75mi it didn't feel that bad and I was back at a normal easy pace so after a mile or so decided to go on and finish the run. Probably not a good idea, but maybe ok, who knows. Was ok, but was a little worse the last couple miles and I slowed a bit, but also no longer had the benefit of wind at my back. Maybe I'll still be able to run the race next weekend. Afterwards is a little worse standing, moving around, walking. Ibuprofen and icing, but there doesn't seem to be too much swelling.
