Part of 16 miles, meant to run 6-8mi warmup but left home late and only got about 3.5mi before so ran the 10k course again afterwards. Had just finished warming up by running 5k course and only had 3 minutes to gun, quick potty stop and cup of water and the gun went off as I was making my way to the start. So I started at back of pack about 30-35 sec to start, but time is net/chip time. Passing people throughout first half but last two miles was on my own and were pretty tough. Got under 39min but not quite the 38:30 I was thinking. A big PR from my previous best of 42:05 in 2004 (unless you count last years 10k that was about .5mi short) since I have not run a real 10k in two years. I am happy with resutls.
