I almost did not run today. Being at my parents' house, being at the funeral home, being at Brett & Meredith's, feeling the absence of my dad... I am drained.
I ran to combat the frustration and heartbreak and anger. I ran as hard as the dark, uneven streets allowed. I ran to say hello to my dad and wave to him as I passed by his house.
I ran to honor him and to feel him near, to feel his presence. I ran to tell him that I love him. I ran to tell him that I miss him.
