Better than I expected based on lack of speedwork. My right glute had been tight all week and still tight on race day. I was pretty sure I would get a mile in and have to back off. Instead as I accelerated it felt slightly better. It was never really pain free but neither was it super painful either. Maybe I could have pushed it a little harder at times during the race but I was afraid I wouldn't know until it was too late. I definitely am not in PR shape but I have some time before ice age.
The hills didn't feel that bad this year either.
