Notes
So...disappointed at the weather this morning! I was up at 5:30am and at the track by 6:08am:):)
I checked the weather before I left and it was not super cold but 30mi/hr winds...remember I live in the Frickin' Gorge!!!! ugh.
well I did my 3 mile warm up on the track but it was so windy it would be pointless to try to do my 400m intervals there:( I was just fighting against the wind the whole time....
SO..I came home and jumped on the treadmill.
I knew I could run my 400's at about 1:31's (I started off at 1:33s 3 mos ago), but I was really excited to do it and try to hit 1:30's on my repeats today.
sad.
anyway...so I set the treadmill to 1% incline and sprinted at 10mi/hr (6:00/mile) for 1:30 (this ended up being exactly .25mile on the treadmill,sometimes more). I did this 10 times with a .25 mile recovery.
Then for my 2x 200m I put the treadmill at 3% incline and sprinted for 45sec.
Then did my last 1`.25mi cool down at a 7.5mi/hr pace (8:30-8:45) to make it to 10miles.
it was still a great work out, but disappointed I didn't get to do it outside. I can't wait for some half decent weather....this rain and wind sucks;)
