Notes

Rpe7-7+. Ran 1 mile stopped and stretched. I felt this run was what I can expect on race day. I started off slow and controlled. Although nutrition was not as important today, I plan on running out of T2 at this effort so that I can get my running legs going and to begin nutrition w/o getting a stitch in my side. Establishing a nutrition plan early! After the first 5k, I have 2hrs to gradually build until the final ~5-6 miles (when the race begans)...This is how I ran my long run today. I began slow and slowly built up over the next ~2hrs. I felt good today. I felt like I had alot left in the tank as I continued to build throughout the run(preparing myself for a strong finish). Although, I continued to build throughout the workout I did not run the final miles as if it was the end of my race. I ran the entire run as a build knowing I had gas in the tank for the final push come race day.

Executed well today...Positive run. I did get in 330 cals of gel, 100 cals from cliff bloks=total 430 cals. I began nutrition around 30mins into run....I didnt require this amt of nutrition, but needed to check my body and establish a nutrition plan for race day...Stretched afterwards....Left hamstring is tight. But right calf feels great...I wore my compress sleeves and feel like they help support on long runs...I also feel it most likely helps the recovery process.
