RPE 8. Goal was to ride easy/ moderate. IM effort today.... When riding in the small group, I was not working at all in the draft. And everytime I went outside of the draft to get my work in I moved up front, in which case I worked a bit to high at times(as noted above)(see notes above next to mile splits) .. Do not feel HR elevated too high.. Positive ride..835 cals of Infinit 330 cals of gels=1165 cal total. ~ 332cal/hr. Did not begin cal consumption until 55-60 mins into my ride. Once again, on race day I will begin consumption immediately. But on a long bike I begin with the tank full. 2.5 bottles of water. I felt full most of the day...I stopped cal consumption about 20-30mins before run to ensure the stitch in my side subsided before my run...
