Splits were 5:14, 5:38, 5:35 and 5:39. I felt alright not really knowing what to expect since it was a 6 month lay off from racing. I wanted to get out conservative, especially since it was about 85 degrees. The first mile felt pretty easy and the top 6 guys were separated by the mile. I hung with two guys until about mile 2 where one took off and I lost contact, but dropped the other by about mile 3. I finished okay, had a bit too much left... not an amazing sprint, but could have pushed the overall last mile faster I think. It was about 20 seconds slower than last year, but considering I don't sleep any more and don't train as much as last year, I'll take it.
