Hills are hard, but not impossible. Note that HR never went extremely high (only to ~89%) despite a large amount of perceived effort. They are definitely harder on the muscles than the heart. I was in a rush, so I didn't get quite the workout I'd hoped. Next time I should try pushing the uphills just a little bit harder.
