Planned: w/10x100m strides
I was worried about this run because of my calves, but once I got started and warmed up they felt pretty good.
I started out doing my strides every 1/4 mile beginning in the first mile. Then I realized I would be done with them by mile 4, so after I completed 5 of them, I decided to space them out, one per mile just to break up the monotony of the remaining 5 miles. Returning to a 7.5 min pace after each stride was a little challenging, but I managed.
Also - I started wearing my new Brooks 4 Ghost today. I bought them another 1/2 size larger to see if I could avoid losing toenails again. Just Sunday night I had to reduce the pressure under my right second toenail from the long run.
