First day of MS150 ride. I was a Ride Marshall and for the morning did the usual helping out with flat tires, etc. Good morning ride with some nice tailwind up until we hit the lunch stop. After lunch, we pretty much headed into a 20mph+ headwind, dead into it for the last 20 miles as the temps topped 90 degrees. I had to stay on top of my hydration and electrolytes to avoid cramping. I saw many, many riders who battled and lost... one guy I helped was blind and a little freaked out. I probably spent an hour and a half total with him working to get him re-hydrated enough to get him to medical...
