Interval Comment: Did variety of trails at Cougar Mountain near Seattle
Comment: "Flew into Seattle at 10:30 am today, then went straight to Seattle Running Company for directions to the best trail run. After a meal at KFC (what fuel), headed East on I90 destined for Snoqualmie Pass, with the intentions of running on the Pacific Crest Trail. As I headed up from Lake Washington and saw the mountains, I was intimidated into switching plans to run at Cougar Mountain, a popular trail closer in to the city. Great trail, with canopy almost every step, very cool and a little humid. How peaceful! Should have done a better job of taking breaks and fueling with electrolytes and the food I carried with me. Ended up running out of water at about 3:35 into the run, only took 2 liters with me. Learned to stick with the plan a little better. Didn't really have any problems and still felt strong. Especially liked the wild blackberries at the trailhead."
