I decided to try and run-walk again and then modified it midway. I changed to a 25-40 run-walk but as I was getting overheated and was having an increase in knee pain during mile 2, I decided to modify things. So I walked mile 3 then resumed the run-walk for mile 4 and part way through mile 5 which I decided to walk in after about the 1/2 way point. My thinking is ease into my running routine will set me up for the long term.
