This run went from discouraging to encouraging. First 45 minutes each knee alternated with its own pain. This did not bode well for Saturday. Finally, the pain receded and I could run and just deal with heat and humidity.
Also, I pulled something from the Michele Ritter playbook. Since the run was going so poorly at first, I decided to punish myself and not drink any water until after the run was done. I didn't go as far as Michele does with eating one black bean for lunch and then running another 10 miles but I felt pretty proud of my dehydrated state.
